Got a question before you visit Uncle Henry’s Secret Garden? Here are a few quick answers to help you plan your day.
What time is last entry and when does the gate close?
Last entry is 2:30pm and the garden gate closes at 5pm daily.
Is there parking?
Yes – free car parking is available on site.
Is there anything free to do on site?
Yes – our outdoor Farmer’s Den play area (suitable for under 10s) is free for customers to use.
Do children need to be supervised?
Yes – under 16s must be supervised by an adult at all times.
What should we wear?
We recommend suitable footwear (closed-toe shoes, and wellies if it’s been raining). On hot days, don’t forget sun protection.
Can we bring dogs?
Dogs are not permitted in the Secret Garden, the farm shop, or the main café.
Dogs are welcome in our coffee lounge, outdoor café courtyard, and dog-friendly café seating area. We also have a dog walking field which is available to book!
Is it accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs?
Some areas (especially the Maize Maze) are in a working field, so pathways can be soil underfoot and may be trickier with wheelchairs and pushchairs, particularly after wet weather. That said, many visitors do get around fine – and pathways generally become more compact as the season goes on.
What happens in bad weather?
In the event of bad weather and high winds, we may need to close certain aspects of the attraction.
What’s your refund / rainy day policy?
If we’re forced to close the attraction entirely, pre-booked tickets can be re-arranged or refunded.
We’re unable to offer refunds or rearrangements in other circumstances, however we do have a Rainy Day Policy: if you experience rain for more than two hours during your pre-booked visit, we’ll provide a FREE return ticket to use another day (valid for pre-booked tickets only).
Can we get food and drink while we’re here?
Yes – our café serves breakfast, lunch, and coffee & cake (no booking needed). Our farm shop and butchery are also well worth a visit, stocked with delicious homemade and locally sourced food and drink – plus cards, gifts and souvenirs.
